How many of the famous landmarks have you been to see?  People travel all the time to see their favorite landmarks in person and get a picture of them standing in front of it.  They will go home and show it to friends and family and then they will check it off their list and focus on the next one.

The Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal, Statue of Liberty, the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen and the Great Sphynx at Giza are all well known destinations and they draw tons of visitors each year.  Most landmarks are monuments or buildings but there are others that are natural, such as the Grand Canyon and Uluru in the Northern Territory, but there is another that not as many people go to visit.

It is the northern lights, that winter time activity in the Arctic Circle that happens at high altitudes.  This natural light display in the sky can be part of a Northern Lights holiday that anyone can book.  Choose to stay three, four or seven nights between the months of January and March.  You can go snow shoeing and even spend a night in an igloo during your visit to Kiruna Sweden.

Travel to Las Vegas from Asia

Posted on 15 September 2011 by admin

On the 17th of September 2011, thousands of people from across the world will flock to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada to watch the WBC Welterweight Championship between Victor Ortiz and Floyd Mayweather.  There will also be plenty of people who were not able to get tickets for the actual match itself, but still want to be in Las Vegas to watch it on a big screen whilst being close to the actual action.

Travelling to Las Vegas from countries in Asia is generally not too difficult.  Flights are available from most of the main airports across Asia.  It is very important, however, to make sure you have a visa in place, as most Asian countries do not qualify for the visa waiver programme, allowing you to enter the United States for 90 days for business or pleasure so long as you have not violated visa conditions in the past.  The only Asian countries that do qualify for the visa waiver programme are Brunei, Japan, Singapore and South Korea.

If you are not a resident of any of those countries, you will need to apply for a visa at your nearest US Consulate or Embassy.  Certain factors will influence the likelihood of you getting a visa and those positively affecting your chances are your age (if you are over 60, you are more likely to get a visa), whether you own your own home in your country of residence, and whether you are a regular traveller.  Each case is looked at individually, though, so if you do not fit into any of those three categories, it does not by any means mean that you will be refused entry to the United States.

So before you financially commit yourself by buying a ticket to Las Vegas and to the MGM Grand for the fight, make sure you have your visa in place if necessary! If you can’t make it to the fight you can always watch Mayweather vs Ortiz live online too!

Cruises from Palma, Mallorca is one of the best cruises you may have. Mallorca is the largest of the sixteen Balearic Islands. Going on a Winter Holiday

Posted on 22 February 2011 by admin

The Winter season can be a less than inviting section of the year due to the weather, frosts, plus even snowfall and strong winds can make staying in the UK seem very depressing. It’s due to this reason that a lot of people choose to go on a winter sunshine break. There are many different countries to choose from, you do not need to fly that far to appreciate the sun. Sections of the continent are much warmer than Britain during the winter.

If you choose to go on a winter package holiday you need to make sure that you are well packed. It may seem slightly unusual including the factor 20 whilst it is so cold outside but this is indeed rather important. If you choose to go to a place that is very sunny such as Dubai then make sure that you choose a high factor sun oil. Talking of Dubai, we were just reading about the amazing sounding Atlantis – The Palm Dubai.

Going away on a winter excursion need not break the bank though. There are loads of low cost breaks available that will allow you to fly away for a lot less money than you might think. Make sure that you browse about, shop on the net and consider a few different travel websites before you decide to book your bargain break. Please also ensure that you read reviews on your chosen trip so that you know exactly what you are getting for your money.

There are lots of health boosts to going away on a winter sunshine holiday. The primary one is the mood elevation. Staying in the UK can be a little miserable due to the grey days and freezing temperatures, the rush of happiness you can get in the knowledge that you have avoided all of this depressing weather and are chilling in the warmer climate is awesome. Another bonus is the fact that the suns rays helps the body to create vitamin D, this is very important and experiments have shown that this helps to elevate moods.

The Mexican Rivier

Posted on 30 December 2010 by admin

a If the name Mexican Riviera is not familiar to you, you might know it better as Puerto Vallarta. This area, located on the coast of Mexico on the Pacific Ocean side, has a marina that is always filled with boats. Often there are also million dollar yachts docked here and sail boats from around the world who come here for a vacation in the sun and warm sand beaches. Also around this marina is where you can enjoy five star restaurants and boutiques offering fine things from nearby cultures. When this area became a popular location for visitors, another marina had to be created to meet the demands of so many people arriving by sea. Today, there is a third under construction to handle even more visitors. Fishing is a popular activity here with deep sea fishing charters going out all the time. These fishermen go out to catch Marlin and it is not uncommon to see two-hundred pound Marlins being brought back. Fishing is great here but the scenery from offshore is fantastic. From out there you can see the Sierra Madres mountains as a picturesque backdrop to the town of Puerto Vallarta. Be sure to bring your camera as there are many scenic locations for taking fabulous pictures.
